Cathay Biotech Inc. (SH.688065), a global leading innovative biotech company, will launch their latest innovations at CHINAPLAS 2024 (April 23-26, Shanghai) and NPE 2024 (May 6-10, Florida). Cathay will showcase their newest Bio-based High-temperature Polyamides, Bio-based Long-chain Polyamides, and Green Long-chain Diacids, as well as enhanced solutions to customers across diverse industries.

With the advantages of being "renewable, recyclable, and cost-effective", Cathay's bio-based polyamides have been successfully applied in various industries including automotive, smartphones, E&E, apparel, and textile, among others.

To meet the growing market demand for low-carbon products, Cathay expanded their R&D and production capabilities to build an integrated system. From early research and development of bio-based materials to computer-aided engineering (CAE) analysis, Cathay provides low-carbon solutions for different industries to meet customer’s changing demand.

Expanding Bio-Based Polyamide Product Portfolio

Cathay’s bio-based polyamide product series, including General Purpose Polyamides, High-temperature Polyamides, and Long-chain Polyamides, provide low-carbon emissions, easy processing, and lightweight solutions. For instance, the High-temperature Polyamide, utilized in electrical connectors, exhibits exceptional low water absorption and high stiffness under extremely high temperatures. The Long-chain Polyamides also show excellent performance in automotive cooling pipe applications with high flexibility, low-temperature impact resistance and outstanding hydrolysis resistance.

The latest development of bio-based polyamide fiber reinforced composites provides lightweight and eco-friendly solutions for alternative energy, green building construction, logistics transportation, oil and gas pipes etc.

Cathay Biotech has also developed an integrated solution for EV battery packs, covering the design and manufacturing of structural components such as battery top covers, bottom trays, cooling pipes, and end plates. By leveraging thermoplastic materials, the parts weight can be reduced by over 40% compared to metal alternatives. The material has easy processing capabilities, recyclability, and reduced full-cycle costs and environmental impact for users.

Revolutionizing Green Long-Chain Diacid Technology

Cathay Biotech has made breakthroughs in green long-chain diacid technology. For the first time, the industrialization of bio-based dodecanedioic acid (DDDA) from biomass resources has been achieved. The new green DDDA is now up to 100% bio-based, offering a stable raw material supply, heightened production efficiency, and a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

Taking Action to Support Zero-Carbon Goal

Through the continuous optimization of the bio-based industrial chain, Cathay Biotech achieves the objective of "smart bio-manufacturing".

Cathay Biotech pays close attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), relentlessly pursuing innovative development in green monomers and high-performance green biomaterials. Through clean energy implementation and process simplification, Cathay provides customers with superior and lower-carbon solutions.

From April to May, we look forward to your visit to Cathay Biotech Booth. We eagerly anticipate discussion about our new solutions, deepening cooperation, and actively exploring the potential applications of our products.
