Bioacetone
Acetone, also known as dimethyl ketone or 2-propanone, is the simplest saturated ketone and an important chemical intermediate and industrial solvent. Our Bioacetone is produced through the anaerobic fermentation of corn or biomass instead of traditional chemical processes from petroleum-based feedstock. Both bioacetone and petroleum-based acetone have the same chemical characteristics.
As a basic chemical intermediate, acetone products include acetone cyanohydrin, bisphenol A (BPA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), 4-methyl-2-pentanone (MIBK), and Vitamin C. Acetone is also an excellent industrial solvent, widely used in cellulose acetate film, plastics, coating, pharmaceuticals and oil refining.
