We are a leading industrial biotechnology company with a large-scale integrated industrial biotechnology platform in China. We produce chemical intermediates with large established markets as well as value-added downstream products. We sell our products globally to well-known international companies as well as the growing Chinese market.
Currently, our primary products are bioprocess based long-chain dicarboxylic acids and biobased n-butanol, or biobutanol. Diacids are organic compounds used as chemical building blocks in the production of a wide variety of industrial chemicals. We are currently the world's largest biobutanol producer with active capacity of 21 million gallons of biobutanol per year.
Our industrial biotechnology platform combines research and development in genetic and laboratory microbiology, bioprocess, scale-up, and commercial process engineering. We believe our platform, supplemented by our production capabilities and strategic location in China, offers significant competitive advantages in the development, production and commercialization of our products. In addition, we are well positioned to migrate towards renewable feedstocks, offer alternatives to chemical processes, develop markets for new products, and capture market share from traditional chemical manufacturers.
